The Ithacan is Ithaca College’s daily online newspaper with a weekly print edition. The paper received the National Mark of Excellence Award, First Place for Best All-Around Non-Daily College Newspaper in the nation in 2012.

Off-campus housing denials cause serious difficulties for students | August 29, 2012   Students faced difficulties this semester with the off-campus housing approval process as the Ithaca College Office of Residential Life approved only about half of the number of off-campus housing applications it approved last year.

Committee presents final IC20/20 plan to campus | April 21, 2011    After nearly a year of discussion and collaboration among many departments of the college, the IC20/20 Steering Committee wrote a final draft of the proposal and presented it to faculty, students and staff at Ithaca College this week.

With the count of “one, two, three,” the pair exchanges a glance and dives into a graceful mix of warm rhythms and melodic crescendos. Feet tapping to a steady beat, the two settle into a groove, playing the opening notes of their first song.

Rochon to follow up with Sodexo after meeting with students | December 17, 2011    President Tom Rochon met with members of Ithaca College’s Labor Initiative in Promoting Solidary Dec. 9 and agreed to look into the issue of a living wage for Sodexo workers on campus.

Federal government shuts down pirating sites | December 9, 2010    After the U.S. government seized 82 Web addresses Nov. 29, college students may find it increasingly difficult to access and download media on bit torrent downloading and other websites.

Salvation Army meets influx of needy families | November 11, 2010     As the recession continues to cause families across the nation financial difficulties, The Salvation Army of Ithaca is seeing an increase in the number of local residents passing through its door.
